We normally have a maximum of twelve sitters in our home circle (due
to the size of the room), but we somehow miscounted this evening, and
when all sitters arrived we realized that there was thirteen - it was a
squeeze, but we managed it.
[All communication from Spirit this
evening was via the table, with the occasional direct voice through the
trumpet. To save time in the writing of this transcript, I will only
make reference to when direct voice is used. For all other
communication we can assume the table was used]
The circle was opened this evening with a Prayer by Mike Ganley.
As Mike says the opening Prayer the table lifts up off the floor and
goes out of the circle behind Mike and Kath. Seconds later it is back
in the circle and our hands are all placed on the edge of it.
“Wow!” says Red Cloud as he comes to the table [laughter]. “Is that ‘wow!’ because we managed to get thirteen in?” asks Kath. “Yes.” says Red Cloud. [more laughter]
“Wow!” says Red Cloud as he comes to the table [laughter]. “Is that ‘wow!’ because we managed to get thirteen in?” asks Kath. “Yes.” says Red Cloud. [more laughter]
“Energies brilliant!” says Red Cloud.
“That’s what we like to hear.” says Mike. “Welcome. Drum.” says Red
Cloud. The light is put on and the shamanic drum is brought in and
placed on the table. As the light is put off Red Cloud picks up the
beater and begins to bang on the drum - seconds later drum and beater
are up in the air and out of the circle behind Dennis. The drumming is
louder than usual this evening; it is also faster. The drum hovers
behind Dennis for a few seconds, and is then brought back into the
circle over Dennis’s head once again.
Moments later Red Cloud moves the drum and beater back
to the table and pushes it towards me (Terry) - this is usually an
indication that Red Cloud has finished, so I remove the drum and beater
from the table.
“Enjoy.” says Red Cloud. We thank Red Cloud for the wonderful drumming and then he leaves the table.
“Enjoy.” says Red Cloud. We thank Red Cloud for the wonderful drumming and then he leaves the table.
Within seconds of Red Cloud leaving us the table is up in the air in
the centre of the circle - as it hovers over four feet off the floor, it
begins to communicate. “Good evening Dick.” say sitters as the table
communicates the letter ‘D’. The table slowly lowers to the floor -
“Welcome.“ says Dick. James then says “The music isn’t on.” “Do you
want it on Dad?” asks Kath. “Yes.” says Dick. “I could sing.” says
Mike jokingly - almost instantly the table is up off the floor, over to
Mike, and over his head, shaking him around inside it, as if to say ‘no
thank you’. [laughter]
The light is put on and the music is
sorted - all the time Mike is inside the table. As the light goes off
Dick lifts the table away from Mike and puts it back on the floor in the
centre of the circle. “Megaphones.” says Dick when asked if he had
anything to say. On goes the light again and in come the megaphones
which are placed on the table, which is rocking wildly. “All yours
Dick.” I say as the light goes off again.
The instant the light goes off Dick upends one of the trumpets on
the table - within a second the other trumpet is up with the first and
they are both flying above us. The trumpets separate, one goes over to
Tom and the other goes over to James as if to greet them. One trumpet
then begins to tap on the circle table as the other one flies out of the
circle to where the spare table is situated. We then have the trumpets
tapping on both tables at the same time (the tables are about six feet
apart). Moments later the trumpets swap tables, one trumpet goes out
while the other comes in to the circle, tapping away as they do so.
“Wonderful!” says Mike. Both trumpets are now back in the circle above
us, conducting to the background music, swaying from side to side -
wonderful to watch.
Dick then brings one trumpet over to me and
places it on my hand, then pushes it up my arm until my arm is inside it
up to the elbow. He then pushes the second trumpet onto the first one
and I now have two on my arm. Seconds later I feel a strong hand grip
the outside of the trumpet, and I am being pulled over the table by
Dick. We then hear Dick blow down the trumpets that are on my arm, I
feel warm air as he does this.
Dick then begins to spin my arm
around inside the trumpets; this goes on for a few seconds before Dick
pulls the trumpets off my arm and takes them over to Dennis. Dennis
then tells us that he now has one of the trumpets up his arm; he also
describes this strong grip on the outside of the trumpet. We then hear a
slapping sound - Dennis tells us that he has just had his shoulder
slapped (the only thing behind Dennis is the door). “Oh thank you
Dick.” says Dennis.
Moments later Dennis tells us that he is being pulled over the table
(with the trumpet still on his arm) - we ask if we may put on the light
to look - “Yes.” says Dick. The light goes on and we are allowed to
take a photo of the trumpet on Dennis’s arm - all the time the light is
on the table is vibrating - I describe it as being like an ‘engine
running’.
The photo is taken and the light goes off - “Oh Thank you
Dick.” says Dennis as his shoulder is now squeezed. The trumpet on
Dennis’s arm, like the other trumpets, has four small luminous tabs on
its wide end; these tabs emit a glow in the darkness, and if anything
gets close to them we can see it - Kath, James and Dennis tell us that
they can see an arm close to the trumpet (Spirit arm).
Dennis
tells us that his arm (still inside the trumpet) is now being guided out
of the circle behind Jojan - Kath tells us that the trumpet is touching
her nose. We ask for the red light to be put on, to find Dennis’s arm
round Jojan’s shoulder with the trumpet poking Kath in the nose.
[laughter]
As the light goes off Dick takes the trumpet from Dennis’s arm and takes it over to guest sitter ‘John Foley’. The trumpet is then put on and up John’s arm by Dick - we then hear a blowing sound down the trumpet - “warm air.” says John to describe the feeling.

From John the trumpet is taken over to guest sitter Jan
Dower - the trumpet hovers in front of her and then taps her hand. I
explain to Jan that Dick probably wants to put her hand inside like he
did with John and Dennis. “Hello friend.” says Jan as Dick puts her arm
inside the trumpet. Dick then lifts Jan’s arm up inside the trumpet
and whirls it round for a couple of seconds.
The trumpet is taken off Jan’s arm by Dick and it is then up in the
air above us. From here it goes to various sitters and taps their heads
and hands in the darkness. Moments later Dick is playing a tune on the
table with the trumpet as a beater - we recognise the tune as the
‘Conga’ and all start to sing along to Dick’s accompaniment with the
trumpet and table.
“Brilliant!” says Mike. Seconds later both trumpets are up in the air and out of the circle behind Mike - both trumpets now tapping on the far wall. As the trumpets come back into the circle, Dennis tells us that he can feel Spirit fingers running down his arm and he thanks Spirit for the sensation.

As the trumpets come back into the circle, Dennis tells us that he can feel Spirit fingers running down his arm and he thanks Spirit for the sensation.
Mike now tells
us that he has someone touching his knee, and moments later Dick drops
one trumpet to the floor; the other one is hovering in front of Mike as
Dick begins to bend and twist it out of shape (it is made of thick
card). The light emitted from the end of the trumpet allows Mike to see
and feel an arm in front of him.
“I can see Spirit fingers, oh well done.” says Dennis as he looks at the same trumpet.
“I can see Spirit fingers, oh well done.” says Dennis as he looks at the same trumpet.
Moments later the trumpet is thrown out of the circle between Pauline
and myself; it just brushes my shoulder as it passes. The spare table
seated behind Mike and Kath now begins to move - it is then lifted up by
Dick and brought into the circle between Mike and Kath - as Dick turns
it upside-down and places it on top of the circle table Dennis tells us
that he can see Dick’s arm (the table legs have luminous tabs on them).
The spare table now begins to spin round on the circle table -
suddenly they are both up in the air swaying from side to side as if
dancing to the background music. Both tables then tilt side-ways and
then back upright again. As they are placed back on the floor by Dick
the top table begins to vibrate - seconds later the top table moves
across to Dennis and comes to rest on his lap. The circle table now
lifts up and is turned upside-down and placed on top of the table on
Dennis’s lap. We ask for the red light to have a look - as the light is
put on Mike says “This is a photo surely!” Tom takes a photo of the
tables on Dennis’s lap. “Wow!” says Jojan - “Incredible!” says Mike as
we see the tables resting on the edge of Dennis’s knee.
As the
light goes off Dick lowers the top table gently back to the floor and
says “Bye.” “Do we take the table off Dennis’s lap Dad?” asks Kath.
“No.” says Dick. I then say “He must be leaving it for someone?”
Our next communicator comes to the table - I ask for a name and ‘Philip’ is the reply.
I then say “Good evening Philip, are you new to the circle?” “Yes.” says Philip. I then ask Philip if he has come to see anyone in particular in the circle, and if so, would he like to take the table to that person. Philip tells us that he as not come to see anyone in particular - “Are you a child Philip?” I ask. “Yes, Kay sent me.” says Philip. [Kay is Mike and Jojan’s Daughter in Spirit] [laughter]
I then tell Philip that he is very welcome - “Is Kay with you?” asks Kath. “Yes.” says Philip. “Hello Kay.” says Mike and Jojan.

I then tell Philip that he is very welcome - “Is Kay with you?” asks Kath. “Yes.” says Philip. “Hello Kay.” says Mike and Jojan.
“Rope (skipping rope).” says Philip when asked if he had anything
else to say. The light is put on and the skipping rope is brought in by
Jan and placed on the table, which is rocking excitedly. No sooner was
the light put out when the rope was unravelled and up in the air - as
it began to spin it glided out of the circle above sitters heads to the
back wall. We could all see the wheel of light it created as it spun
faster and faster behind Mike and Kath - suddenly it was back in the
circle, how it missed sitters as it came back in is a mystery!
The rope is now dancing on the circle table-top, the handles tapping the
table as they bounce up and down. Moments later one end of the
skipping rope is taken over to Mike - “It’s going round my neck.” says
Mike. With one end of the rope round Mike’s neck Philip begins to spin
the other end round in circles, ever so fast and very close to Mike, but
never once touching him in the darkness. “Hello Philip, I like you
Philip.” says Mike jokingly as the spinning rope handle gets closer to
his face. [laughter]
“Whoo!!” say sitters as the rope spins faster and faster. “I’m sorry Kath, but I am being pulled over to you.” says Mike as he is pulled towards Kath by the rope - all the time the other end of the rope is still spinning - amazing!
“Whoo!!” say sitters as the rope spins faster and faster. “I’m sorry Kath, but I am being pulled over to you.” says Mike as he is pulled towards Kath by the rope - all the time the other end of the rope is still spinning - amazing!
“Well done.” says Jojan
as Mike is pushed back into his seat. Philip takes the rope from
around Mike’s neck and begins to spin it at head height within the
circle of sitters, and as he lets out more rope the circle of light gets
bigger and bigger - sitters then mention how close the rope handle is
to their faces in the darkness.
Suddenly the rope stops spinning, and whilst in mid-air it begins to
swing like a pendulum from one sitter to another - moments later the
rope handles are dancing on the table-top and the floor at the same
time. The rope is dropped to the table and Philip asks for a small
trumpet - as the red light goes on Mike says “My word Philip, you’ve got
some energy.” as the table rocks to and fro in the red light.
As
the light goes off Philip picks up the trumpet. - It is at this point
in the sitting that a lady guest has a problem with the heat, and we
weren’t sure as to whether we would have to close the circle or not.
Philip was still moving around the sitters with the trumpet when our
lady guest says that the energy is ‘overpowering her’. Mike offers the
lady some breathing advise to calm her down - and it is at this point
that Philip hovers over the table with the trumpet and says “Hello.”
down it. “Hello.” say sitters.
We are still concerned as to
whether we can carry on, when one sitter says “Are you there Philip?”
“Yes.” says Philip down the trumpet. “Are you well?” asks Mike. “Yes.”
says Philip down the trumpet. “Do you like it here?” asks Mike.
Philip says ‘yes’ down the trumpet, but also says something else that we
can’t quite make out. We ask Philip to repeat what he had said, and he
says “The lady will be fine.” down the trumpet. We were now reassured
that all would be well and we continued with the sitting.
“Well
done, you’re a conductor as well.” says Mike as the trumpet conducts to
the background music in the air above us. Suddenly the trumpet is over
to Mike and it taps him on the head [laughter] “I tell you what Philip,
I’d rather be hit by the trumpet than the skipping rope.” says Mike
jokingly. [laughter]
Seconds later the trumpet glides over to Reece, and we hear “Reece.”
spoken down the trumpet. “Hello.” says Reece. Philip then says “I
know your Mummy.” down the trumpet. Philip then begins to tap Reece’s
hand with the trumpet - “Do you want me to put my hand in (the
trumpet)?” asks Reece. Seconds later, with no reply from Philip, the
trumpet is on Reece’s hand and up his arm. We then hear air being blown
down the trumpet, and then kisses are heard from the trumpet.
As
the trumpet is taken from Reece’s hand by Philip, Mike tells us he
hears tapping on the wall behind him (audible to all). Philip is now
wafting the trumpet in the air within the circle of sitters, creating a
much needed breeze. “Very thoughtful, thank you.” says Mike.
Moments later Philip communicates through the table “Kites.” The light
is put on to bring in the two full sized kites that are on the floor
behind Mike - “All yours friend.” says Mike as he places the kites on
the table.
The second the light goes off both kites are whisked
up into the air by Philip - he then begins to waft the kites just above
our heads thus creating even more cool air for the circle. “You’re a
treasure Philip, that‘s what you call Spirit intelligence.” I say as the
cool air reaches me. [laughter]
“You’re an absolute darling Philip.” says Pauline as all sitters begin to feel the benefit of the wafting kites.
I then tell Philip jokingly that he has a job for the rest of the evening - [laughter].
“You’re an absolute darling Philip.” says Pauline as all sitters begin to feel the benefit of the wafting kites.
I then tell Philip jokingly that he has a job for the rest of the evening - [laughter].
Moments later the kite is out of the circle behind Mike and Kath to
the back wall, almost instantly it comes back into the circle, all done
in the darkness with just the small luminous tabs on the kite visible -
these kites are quite large, but it did not touch one sitter during the
manoeuvre.
Within seconds the other kite is up in the air and we now have two kites flying above us - one goes over and hovers in front of Dennis while the other one goes right up to the ceiling. “It’s not touching the light fixture at all.” says Mike of the kite up near ceiling. The kite then comes back down and goes out of the circle behind Dennis, and from there it comes back into the circle and rests on Jojan’s head - “Oh thank you.” says Jojan.

“Lots of blue energy in the room.” says Dennis (visible in the darkness).
“I’m in the kite now.” says Jojan (it is over her head). Reece tells
us that his hand is being pulled over the table, then John Foley tells
us that he has been touched by a hand, then Tom tells us that he also
has been touched. Seconds later we hear hands being slapped in the
darkness, James then tells us that his hand has been pulled over the
table - it seems that Philip had put Tom, James and Reece’s hands on top
of each other on the table - “Look after each other.” says Philip to
Tom, Reece and James.
A few moments later various sitters hands that were resting on the edge of the table were being touched by Spirit.
The kites are lifted up once more and wafted by Philip, and as they
come back to the table Philip says “Bye.” “Thank you Philip (for
cooling us down).” say sitters - “You’re a trooper.” says Dennis as
Philip leaves us.
Our next communicator to the table is ‘Pretty Lucy’. We welcome
Lucy to the table and when I ask if she has anything to say, Lucy says
“D.T.T.” “Is that abbreviated?” I ask. “Yes.” says Lucy. “Drum,
Tambourine and Trumpet.” says Mike. “Yes.” says Lucy (the abbreviation
saved a lot of table work). [laughter]
“Do you want the
drumsticks Lucy?” I ask. “Yes, one.” says Lucy. Once again the red
light is put on, and we put the instruments on the table - as soon as
the light is put off again we hear Lucy tapping on the drum with her
fingers. A few moments later James tells us that his hand has been
grabbed and that the tambourine has been put on his hand and then up his
arm. We then see the tambourine (via luminous tabs) spinning on
James’s arm, at the same time Lucy is drumming on the drum on the table
with the drumstick.
The drum is now up in the air, about a foot
off the table. [this particular drum has a strap attached to it for
hanging around your neck] Moments later Reece tells us that his hand
has been pulled over the table and that the strap on the drum has been
put around his neck - the drum is still being played by Lucy as it comes
to rest on Reece’s chest.
James then tells us that his arm has been put through the strap on the drum around Reece’s neck by Lucy - this same arm still has the tambourine on it.
James then tells us that his arm has been put through the strap on the drum around Reece’s neck by Lucy - this same arm still has the tambourine on it.
Lucy then puts the
drumstick in Reece’s raised hand - the table begins to shake from side
to side, signifying laughter from Spirit. The trumpet then raises up in
the air and we hear Lucy speak through it, but not very clearly so I
say “Sorry love, but I didn’t get that.” Lucy then repeats what she had
said and we hear “Pictures in a minute.” spoken through the trumpet in a
very soft voice.
For the next few moments Lucy drums on the table, using the trumpet
as a drumstick as Reece is still holding the real one. Seconds later we
have the kite up in the air again - all sitters are very excited as we
sit and watch what is happening in front of our eyes - it is dark in the
room, but every instrument is lit up with luminous tabs. We have the
kite flying above us as the tambourine on James’s arm begins to spin
again, at the same time the trumpet is drumming on the table -
“Incredible!” says Mike. “Unbelievable Lucy!” says Dennis.
The trumpet is up off the table now and going round individual sitters, tapping their heads as it passes in the darkness. The kite then goes over to Mike and he tells us that it is being put over his head - the table begins to stir and I realize that Lucy wishes to communicate. “Is it ‘Pictures’ now?” I ask Lucy. “Yes.” says Lucy. As the light is put on we can see all that Lucy has done - Mike has the kite over his head, James has the tambourine up his arm which is dangling through the strap of the drum which is around Reece’s neck [laughter]. “It’s amazing isn‘t it!” says Jojan.

“Do you think this will catch on at Ascot
next year?” says Mike jokingly with the kite adorning his head
[laughter]. Tom and I take photos in the red light of all that we see,
some with normal flash camera and some with the digi-cam and red light
only.
As the light is put off Lucy takes the drumstick from Reece’s hand
and begins to tap on the table with it, she then raises the drumstick up
in the air and creates circle of light with it as she spins it round
and round very fast. Lucy then brings the drumstick back down to
the table and does a 360 degree movement round the table with the stick,
touching each sitter’s hand with the stick as she does so. Moments
later Lucy throws the drumstick out of the circle at such speed that it
whizzes past my ear in the darkness - Lucy obviously has no problem
seeing in our darkened conditions. [laughter]
“Hey Lucy you should be in a darts team.” say I jokingly. Moments later Lucy communicates through the table - “Bye.” says Lucy. We thank Lucy for the joy she has brought to the circle and then she leaves us.
Our next communicator is ‘Peter’. “Saved you a question.” says Peter. “Oh, so you are going to the person you have come to see, without me asking?” say I as Peter takes the table over to Pauline. “Yes.” says Peter. “Oh hello Pete.” says Pauline.
[We then realized just what Pete had meant when he said ‘saved you a question’ - Pete visited the circle yesterday evening, but Pauline wasn’t sure if he was the ‘Pete’ that she knew in Spirit, and before we sat this evening Pauline said that she was going to ask through the table for confirmation - Pete had saved us the trouble of asking the question]

“Is it ‘Debbie’s Pete?” asks Pauline. “Yes.” says Pete. “Hello
darling, how are you my love?” asks Pauline. “Fine.” says Pete. “Oh
thank you my darling, I’m sorry I got the wrong Pete yesterday, I
apologise my love.” says Pauline. Pete then says “Ribbon, Pauline,
Hand.” “So, you want Terry to get a ribbon and you want Pauline to put
her hand on the table?” asks Kath. “Yes.” says Pete.
I put on the red light torch and Pauline reaches over behind her and brings in the ribbon which is on the floor behind her. As the light is put off we hear Pauline say “Hello Pete, Oh!” “Is he (Pete) touching you?” I ask. “Yes, he’s pulling my arm, now he’s putting the ribbon round my wrist - Not too tight my darling, tying it in a bow. Thank you so much Pete, thank you my love.” says Pauline. “Present.” says Pete. “Thank you my darling.” says Pauline. “What a wonderful present.” says Mike.
Pete then spells out ‘ela…’ through the table - to save time I say “Elastic bands?” “Yes, four.” says Pete.
Once again the red light is put on for us to find the elastic bands - Pauline reaches over behind her where they are situated and brings them in and places them on the table. As the light goes off Pauline says “Whatever you are going to do with them, don’t do it too tight, and don’t ping em at me either.”
[laughter] All goes quiet for a few moments, so quiet in fact, that I ask anyone if they can hear anything (Pete manipulating the elastic bands maybe) - “No.” says Kath.
After about a minute we hear some movement on the table - John Foley then says “Oh, he’s just grabbed my hand, now he’s taking it into the air - he’s putting the elastic band around my wrist.” James then says “He’s now got my hand and he is putting a band round my wrist - now he’s strumming the band.” [audible to all sitters]
“Can we have a look?” asks Kath. “Yes.” says Pete. We put on the red light to find that Pete has created a chain with the four elastic bands looped together - one end tied to John Foley’s wrist and the other end tied to James’s wrist. [laughter] “Can we have pictures?” asks Kath. “Yes.” says Pete. The red light is put on and Tom and I take pictures, some with just red light and digi-cam and one with normal flash camera - the table rocks wildly all the time the red light is present.
As the red light goes off John Foley tells us that the elastic band is being removed from his wrist - “Mine too.” says James. Dennis then says “Peter is stroking my arm, how lovely, thank you Peter, now he’s holding up my arm and squeezing my fingers - it’s lovely of you to do this Peter. Now he’s putting the band on my wrist, thank you Peter.”
Reece then says “Someone’s grabbing my arm, now the band’s gone over my hand, now it’s on my wrist.” Dennis then tells us that his arm has been raised up and put around Jojan’s neck. We are allowed to put on the red light, and find Dennis’s arm round Jojan’s shoulder with Reece’s outstretched arm attached to Dennis’s wrist with the elastic bands [laughter].
“Pictures.” says Pete. After the pictures are taken and the light goes off once again, Dennis tells us that his arm has been lifted up and away from Jojan and that Pete has vigorously taken the elastic band from his wrist - “Thank you Peter.” says Dennis.
Just before Pete leaves us he touches all sitters hands that are on the edge of the table, he then places the elastic bands into Pauline’s hand - “Bye.” says Pete.
Our next communicator comes to the table and gives us the name ‘Jeremiah’. Jeremiah is new to our circle and when asked if he has come to see anyone in particular, he says “Jan, Graham, I will be working with your circle on transfiguration masks.” “Thank you very much.” says Jan. “Oh lovely, thank you.” says Graham.
Jeremiah then says “Bless you.” and leaves the table.
Our next communicator is Millie (James’s sister in Spirit). We welcome Millie to the circle and when asked if she would like to say something, She says “Keyboard.” The red light is put on and the keyboard is brought in and placed on the table - as the light goes off Millie picks up the keyboard and begins to play it in mid-air as she sways it from side to side. We think that the batteries are low on the keyboard because it stops and starts - we then laugh as we hear Millie slapping the keyboard. Moments later it is working again and we sing along as Millie plays the tune ‘Old Macdonald’. Millie then plays ‘London Bridge’ and then ‘Oh Susannah’ - all the time the tunes are playing the keyboard is dancing in mid-air.
The next tune is ‘Old Macdonald’ again, and then we have ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’. All these tunes are pre-set in the keyboard, but as Millie puts the keyboard down on the table we hear her going through the scales manually on the keyboard.
Seconds later both the table and the keyboard are up in the air and we hear her play the keyboard once again as it is sat on the hovering table. As the table comes back down we have one more tune ‘London Bridge’ again before we hear Millie say ‘Bye’ in the air with no trumpet present. “Were you with us yesterday?” asks James just before Millie goes. “Yes.” says Millie. “Have you been called to time?” asks Kath as we have now been sitting for an hour and ten minutes. “Yes.” says Millie. “God Bless.” says sitters as Millie leaves us.
As Red Cloud comes back to the table, we have a ‘first’ as he picks up the keyboard and the tune ‘Daisy, Daisy’ begins to play - we all sing along to this and when the tune ends Kath says “Is that for Jan and Graham and all from down South?” Yes.” says Red Cloud.
We are allowed to ask questions, but only Jan and Pauline have questions for Red Cloud, both of which were answered and understood.
We all thanked Red Cloud for an amazingly wonderful evening, and the circle was then closed with a Prayer by Dennis.
Sitting duration: one hour and thirteen minutes.
Below are various photographs taken during the sitting - some with normal flash camera and some with red light and digi-cam:
I put on the red light torch and Pauline reaches over behind her and brings in the ribbon which is on the floor behind her. As the light is put off we hear Pauline say “Hello Pete, Oh!” “Is he (Pete) touching you?” I ask. “Yes, he’s pulling my arm, now he’s putting the ribbon round my wrist - Not too tight my darling, tying it in a bow.
